Frequently Asked Questions:
What time does each LIVE Web-Cast begin and how long is each Module?
Each Module will be presented live via web-casting at 1pm Toronto time (Eastern Standard Time or Eastern Daylight Saving Time).
The dates are listed under the Program Dates button on the website. We have chosen Saturdays since most doctors don't work this day and we have chosen 1pm Eastern Standard Time to accommodate most CEREC doctors worldwide.
Each Module is approximately 4 hours in length. Presentation via PowerPoint, live demonstrations and movie clips will be about 3 hours in length; there will be in total 30 minutes of stretch breaks and about 30 minutes of Question & Answer.
How can I ask a question?
Just before each break I will be asking for questions. You will then email your questions to courses@drtsotsos.com . Directly after each break I will answer that batch of questions. Please keep your questions focused on the presentation material just discussed.
Problem CEREC cases may also be burned onto a CD and sent to:
Dr. Stephen Tsotsos
1100-20 Eglinton Ave. West
Toronto , Ontario
M4R 1K8
Canada .
Please mail any CD's well before the presentation date. If relevant to that particular Module your CEREC case will be discussed during the presentation. All questions and cases will be discussed anonymously. Every attempt will be made to answer every question. Due to volume it may be necessary to email you your answer personally after the presentation.
Do I need to be near my CEREC machine during the presentation?
NO.
This is what you need:
a) a computer with a broadband internet connection (dial-up will be too slow).
b) System Requirements
PC-based attendees:
Required: Windows 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, 2003 Server, Windows Vista.
Speakers connected to your computer.
Macintosh-based attendees:
Required: Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther) or newer.
Speakers connected to your computer.
Which version of the CEREC software will you be teaching?
As a beta-tester of the CEREC software, I have access to versions well before they hit the market. I will always be teaching the latest version available or the next soon-to-be-released version pending approval by Sirona.
Will you be providing CE Points?
Our Modules are AGD Certified. We will be mailing you documentation noting your CE points.
How much does it cost?
Each Module costs $189US. The Posterior Advanced and the Anterior Advanced Programs have been divided into four Modules each. There is no extra fee for associate doctors or team members under your employ.
Can I use my Patterson Voucher?
Yes. You must enter your Patterson Voucher number in the box provided under 'Patterson Voucher Certificate Number' on the online registration form (go to www.drtsotsos.com/howto.html ). You must also enter your credit card information to cover any balance of registration costs. Mail your signed Patterson Voucher to:
Dr. Stephen Tsotsos
1100-20 Eglinton Ave. West
Toronto , Ontario
M4R 1K8
Canada
Canadian doctors will be directly reimbursed from Patterson Canada after the doctor's credit card is processed for the full registration amount.
Doctors from the United States will only be charged any remaining balance in registration fees.
I've been using CEREC now for a couple of years and have had relatively good success with posterior restorations. Which Module should I take?
Based on my experience with the CEREC educational process I suggest you start at the beginning, that is, with the four Modules of the Posterior Advanced Program. My Programs are not a bunch of tips and tricks that may or may not work in your hands. This is a very comprehensive restorative dentistry program. I have gone to great lengths to ensure that the material presented is evidence-based and clinically proven. This ensures that you will be able to use the information 'Monday morning'.
Previous attendees invariably comment that: "They just didn't know what they didn't know". This just may also apply to you. After all, if you never learned something how can you know it? I promise you that to the best of my knowledge no one has attended my Advanced Courses and felt they didn't get significantly more than their money's worth.
